Cranberry Fest, a berry good time!

It’s no secret that this is Cranberry Fest Weekend in Eagle River. By now the traffic flow is quite heavy and the fairgrounds are loaded with vendors setting up hand-crafted items and delicious food!
In case you haven’t been able to get information on what is happening, here are some links and information to get you all the details.
The popular cranberry marsh tours began Thursday and will continue throughout the weekend. They leave from the Eagle River Area Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center. These leave on varying daily schedules. Visit the website for days and times.
Wondering about parking? There are FREE shuttles to get you around to the various sites on Saturday with stops at the main grounds at the Vilas County Fairgrounds and Downtown.
In addition to purchasing cranberries and craisins at the fest grounds, you can also buy them at the Eagle River Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center.
So what is happening at fest central at the Fairgrounds? Well, there is:
• Arts & Crafts Fair – 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
• Cranberry Fest Pancake Breakfast 7:00 am to 10:00 am
• Cranberry Bake Sale
• Cranberry Food Products and Souvenirs
• Cranberry Beer and Wine Garden
• Family Entertainment
• A variety of foods with and without Cranberries
For those who have a healthy approach to the festival, join in the Berry Bog 5K Jog. The run is open to everyone and families are encouraged to participate. Early registration begins Friday night, Oct 4, at Riverview Park on Highway 45 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. There is also registration Saturday morning from 7:00 a.m. until 8:15 a.m. The run/walk begins at 8:30 a.m. and leaves from Riverview Park.
